Rose Lipke grew up in the small coastal fishing village of Cortez, Florida.
At the age of 12 she fished and crabbed commercially after school and during summers, learned the art of wooden boat building from her father and became an activist to conserve and preserve the environment and the traditional maritime way of life. Rose has worked as an freelance artist since the age of 16, creating thousands of signs and logos for local businesses, original paintings and sculptures. A majority of her clientele comes mostly by word of mouth, as well as participating in art shows and coastal festivals throughout Florida.
A good portion of her career was also spent as a scenic painter, then later as a sculptor and eventually the Shop Foreman at Hagenbeck Wallace, the Scenic Fabrication Shop for FELD Entertainment in Palmetto where she worked in all phases of fabrication for shows including Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice, Disney Live, Sesame Street Live, and most recently Jurassic World Live.
